GM Tony Barnsley RIP

It is with great sadness that EFCC inform chess players of the passing of GM Tony Barnsley (Sheffield) Tony was a regular player in the England team until his CC retirement and his greatest accomplishment was being awarded the Grandmaster title at our own ICCF congress in Leeds 2009. An article will appear in the otb CHESS magazine, hopefully in the February issue. Sincere condolences to Tony's family and friends.

It will be organised by the ICCF DE Commissioner Ian Pheby. Of course, players can only enter through ICCF Direct Entry, which is the whole point (!) but at the very reasonable price of 6.35 euros, it is a good opportunity to play in an open tournament against players from across the globe. The full announcement is https://www.iccf.com/message?message=858 Please consider supporting this popular ICCF event.
