{"id":42145,"date":"2023-01-22T19:06:20","date_gmt":"2023-01-22T18:06:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bccachess.org\/?page_id=42145"},"modified":"2023-01-24T16:48:49","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T15:48:49","slug":"bcca-open","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bccachess.org\/chesstournaments\/bcca-open\/","title":{"rendered":"BCCA Continuous"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BCCA is launching a new tournament, the BCCA Continuous, which, in accordance with its name, is intended to run continuously.\u00a0 \u00a0 Subject to ICCF approval, it will be ICCF rated with a proposed start date of 15<sup>th<\/sup> June 2023.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The tournament will follow all ICCF rules, but there are no title norms available.<\/li>\n<li>Entry is only open to BCCA members.<\/li>\n<li>There is an entry fee of \u00a34 to cover one entry to a preliminary section and any semi-finals and Final relating to qualification from that preliminary event.<\/li>\n<li>There will be three sections:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Preliminary groups of five players (double round all play all)<\/li>\n<li>Semi Final Groups of seven players (double round all play all)<\/li>\n<li>Final groups of eleven players (single round all play all)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>The ICCF Triple Block time control will be used in all sections, with 350 days in the Preliminary and Semi Final Sections and 550 in finals.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Sections will be formed continuously with no seeding.<\/li>\n<li>All players will start in a preliminary section (multiple entries allowed).<\/li>\n<li>Winners of each section (with a plus score) will proceed to the next higher section.<\/li>\n<li>Winners will be determined using all ICCF tie breaks (where there is a multiple tie after all tie breaks have been applied all players will qualify).<\/li>\n<li>There will be a prize fund as follows:Winner of a preliminary section \u00a310Winner of a Semi Final section \u00a325\n<p>Winner of a final \u00a3200, second place \u00a3100, third place \u00a350.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament organiser is Keith Kitson.\u00a0\u00a0 Further information can be obtained by contacting Keith.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BCCA is launching a new tournament, the BCCA Continuous, which, in accordance with its name, is intended to run continuously.\u00a0 \u00a0 Subject to ICCF approval, it will be ICCF rated with a proposed start date of 15th June 2023.
